  • Tyler Morse, Chairman & CEO

    CEO Tyler Morse

    Tyler Morse is Chairman & CEO of MCR, which comprises four discretionary funds and is the 3rd largest hotel owner-operator in the United States. With $5 billion of assets under management, MCR owns and operates 150 hotels (over 25,000 guestrooms) across 37 states and is the developer of landmark properties such as the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport in New York City and the BT Tower in London.

    Tyler is also Chairman of Stayntouch, a digital property management system, and Chairman of Optii, a hotel operations software solution. He is on the Board of Directors of Wright Bedding, an innovative American-made mattress and bedding manufacturer, and on the Board of Directors of Ocra, a centralized management platform for parking operators.

    Tyler is on the Board of Directors of Swansea City AFC, a Welsh professional football team that competes in the Championship level of the English Football League.

    Tyler serves on the Board of Directors of the American Hotel and Lodging Association and on the Executive Committee of New York City Tourism + Conventions. He also serves on the advisory board of New York University’s Tisch Center of Hospitality and on the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

    Tyler is an active member of the Industry Real Estate Financing Advisory Council (IREFAC), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and The Real Estate Roundtable. He serves as a Trustee on the board of Prep for Prep.

    Tyler graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and Harvard Business School.

  • Senior Leadership

    • Russ Shattan Partner
    • Russ Shattan is Partner of MCR. Since joining MCR in 2011, Russ has worked on all of the firm’s investments, including asset purchases, development projects, financings, fundraising and investment sales. He oversees MCR’s operating portfolio and strategic initiatives.

      Russ supported the development of two marquee New York City hotel projects: the 60-room The High Line Hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and the 512-room TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

      From 2006 to 2011, Russ was a Senior Manager at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he worked in the firm’s Real Estate Group. Prior to Starwood, he was an Analyst at CNL Hotels & Resorts, a hotel REIT based in Orlando, Florida.

      Russ serves on the Marriott TownePlace Suites Franchise Advisory Council and has previously served on Hilton’s Select Service Product Advisory Council. He is a graduate of Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and has been a guest lecturer for real estate and hospitality classes at Cornell University and New York University.

    • Joe Delli Santi Chief Investment Officer
    • Joe Delli Santi is Chief Investment Officer of MCR. In this role, he is responsible for leading the company’s acquisition, development and capital markets activities.

      Prior to joining MCR in 2016, Joe was a Senior Associate with Starwood Capital Group, where he was responsible for managing a number of the firm’s investments in the full and limited service hotel sectors. He also served as Vice President of Corporate Development for TMI Hospitality, one of the country’s largest hotel owner-operators with a portfolio of more than 180 select service and extended stay properties that Starwood Capital Group acquired in January 2015. In that role, he was responsible for the execution of the firm’s growth-related initiatives, the disposition of non-core assets and various other functions.

      Joe is a graduate of Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration.

    • Nathan Logan General Counsel
    • Nathan Logan is General Counsel of MCR. In this role, he leads the legal aspects of MCR’s business.

      Prior to joining MCR, Nathan practiced law for 12 years with the global firm Latham & Watkins LLP, where he specialized in real estate M&A and financing transactions for private equity firms, REITs and other commercial real estate owners and investors. Nathan represented MCR as outside counsel while at Latham & Watkins LLP and has advised on nearly every significant acquisition and development project the company has undertaken since 2013.

      Nathan received a law degree from the University of Notre Dame and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is licensed to practice law in California and Illinois.

    • William White Chief Financial Officer
    • William White is Chief Financial Officer of MCR.

      Prior to joining MCR in 2016, William was a Senior Associate in the real estate transactions group at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he served as project manager for a wide variety of complex public-private development projects. Previously, William was at Tungsten Partners, where he assisted with due diligence of development opportunities for the Ace Hotel brand.

      William is a graduate of Harvard University.

    • Lisa Ross Chief Accounting Officer
    • Lisa Ross is Chief Accounting Officer of MCR.

      Lisa has 35 years of experience with accounting, financial reporting and investor reporting for private equity and public commercial real estate investment funds. Prior to joining MCR, Lisa held senior executive roles at Behringer and the Hampstead Group. She also served as a consultant to Lionstone Investments. In these positions she was responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for private and public investment funds, joint ventures and REITs.

      Lisa received an MS in Management and Administrative Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas and a BBA from Baylor University.

    • Abby Hampton SVP, Investment Accounting
    • Abby Hampton is SVP, Investment Accounting, of MCR. She joined MCR in 2014. Abby is responsible for preparing the corporate office financial statements as well as overseeing ownership accounting for several portfolios. She also works with the Development and Construction teams on various projects. Abby has 15 years of hospitality accounting experience, including 11 years with Wyndham.

      Abby received a BBA in Accounting from Washington State University.

    • Chad Newman SVP, Hotel Execution
    • Chad Newman is SVP, Hotel Execution of MCR. In this role, Chad is responsible for consistently executing MCR’s established standards for each hotel product by brand and by market across MCR’s national hotel portfolio.

      During his hospitality career, Chad has held General Manager and regional positions with leading hotel operators such as Ocean Properties, Island Hospitality and The Briad Group.

      Chad graduated from the University of Maryland.

    • Jaimee Zanzinger SVP, Creative
    • Jaimee Zanzinger is SVP, Creative, of MCR. In this role, she oversees branding, content, PR and marketing for MCR and its independent full-service hotels across the country, including the 60-room The High Line Hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and the 512-room TWA Hotel at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

      Prior to joining MCR, Jaimee was the Editorial Director of Us Weekly at Wenner Media, where she led the operations for digital and print platforms that attracted an audience of 50 million. Previously, Jaimee served in senior-level roles at Real Simple, Glamour and Woman’s Day, specializing in lifestyle content. She has also consulted for Hearst Magazines, where she helped conceptualize and launch a high-end travel publication.

      As an adjunct professor at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, Jaimee taught a magazine editing course. She has also appeared as a lifestyle expert on television programs including NBC’s Today show, ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS’s The Early Show.

      Jaimee received a BA in Journalism and Communications from Rutgers University.

    • Eric Ruvio Principal Software Engineer
    • Eric Ruvio is Principal Software Engineer of MCR. In his role, Eric is responsible for developing custom software solutions to solve specific business and operational challenges. Eric builds modern software applications that are deployed across MCR’s portfolio of hotels and corporate teams.

      Prior to joining MCR, Eric worked within the hospitality industry as a Director of Software Engineering, building website and e-commerce solutions for a wide variety of independent hotels and chains.

      Eric is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect. He earned an MS in Computer Science from Fordham University.

    • Kim Aviles VP, Sales
    • Kim Aviles is Vice President, Sales, of MCR. In her role, she focuses on achieving and exceeding top-line revenue and market share growth, as well as strategic positioning in the sales process.

      Prior to joining MCR as a Regional Vice President of Sales in 2015, Kim was a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing with HHM Hotels, where she oversaw properties in Pennsylvania from Philadelphia to Harrisburg.

      Kim’s career in the hospitality industry began in the Atlantic City casino scene. She later worked with Marriott and Hilton franchises, gaining extensive knowledge in multi-brand full and select service properties, sales techniques, training methodologies and event planning.

    • Shane Clayton VP, Human Resources and Payroll
    • Shane is VP, Human Resources and Payroll, of MCR. He executes the company’s people strategies, overseeing benefits, compensation, payroll, HR technology, and recruiting. 

      With more than 20 years of experience in human resources and payroll, Shane has developed extensive expertise in compensation and benefits strategy execution, process standardization, data-driven decision-making, and technology solutions that optimize human capital investments. His career began in executive compensation and tax consulting at Deloitte and then KPMG, before transitioning to in-house roles, including senior leadership positions at two Fortune 500 companies.

      A licensed attorney, he also holds a JD from Southern Methodist University, an MBA from Belmont University, and a BS in Finance and Economics from Western Kentucky University.

    • Josh Egert VP, Capital Markets
    • Josh Egert is VP, Capital Markets, of MCR. He is responsible for MCR’s debt capital markets activities, including investments, acquisition financings and refinancings, and management of the firm’s debt portfolio.

      Prior to joining MCR, Josh worked at LoanCore Capital, a private equity credit fund, and Newmark, one of the world’s largest commercial real estate advisors. 

      Josh is a graduate of The George Washington University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He was admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey.

    • Charlie Floyd VP, Investments, Analytics & Development
    • Charlie Floyd is VP, Investments, Analytics & Development, of MCR. In this role, he oversees the company’s acquisition, development and disposition activities.

      Prior to joining MCR, Charlie was a Director of Investments for Peachtree Hotel Group, a hotel private equity firm based in Atlanta focused on equity and debt investments.

      Charlie is a graduate of Cornell University.

    • Andy Gala VP, Sales New York
    • Andy Gala is VP, Sales New York, of MCR. In this role, he is responsible for providing commercial leadership and strategic top-line growth across MCR’s portfolio of New York City and independent hotels, including the 1,780-room Sheraton New York Times Square and the 512-room TWA Hotel.

      Prior to joining MCR as the Opening Director of Hotel Sales for the TWA Hotel in 2018, Andy served in senior sales and leadership roles with Marriott International across New York City, Boston, New Jersey and Philadelphia for nine years.

      Andy received a BS in Hotel Administration and Economics from Niagara University.

    • Will Garson VP, Investments, Analytics & Development
    • Will Garson is VP, Investments, Analytics & Development, of MCR. In this role, he is responsible for assisting in the company’s acquisition, development, and disposition activities.

      From 2019 to 2022, Will was Vice President of Acquisitions at Sandpiper Lodging Trust, a private REIT focused on extended stay hotels. Prior to Sandpiper, he began his career as an analyst at Hackney Real Estate Partners, a real estate private equity firm in Richmond, Virginia. 

      Will received a BA in Economics and a BA in Government and Law from Lafayette College. He also holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

    • Hilda Garvey VP, Execution
    • Hilda Garvey is Vice President, Execution for MCR, where she leads teams for a diverse portfolio of branded and lifestyle hotels across New York City and New Jersey. She plays a key role in hotel transitions, onboarding, and property performance optimization, positioning MCR’s properties for long-term success in highly competitive urban markets.

      Hilda started at MCR as General Manager at The Lexington Hotel, and also served as RVP, execution, supporting The New Yorker Hotel, Ink 48 Hotel, Royalton Hotel, and The High Line Hotel. Prior to MCR, Hilda held numerous leadership roles with Highgate Hotels, where she specialized in managing Hilton-branded hotels throughout New York City, as well as Fitzpatrick Hotels. 

      A graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland, Hilda is also a former board member of the Hotel Association of New York City.

    • Kristin Jones VP, Pricing
    • Kristin Jones is Vice President, Pricing, of MCR. In this role, she leads top line revenue strategy for a diverse portfolio of branded and independent hotels, including MCR’s New York City assets. 

      Since joining MCR in 2014, Kristin has held several leadership roles, including Regional Vice President and Senior Director of Revenue Strategy. She also served as the Opening Director of Revenue for the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport.

      Prior to MCR, Kristin held revenue and sales leadership roles at White Lodging Services, Stonebridge Companies and Sage Hospitality.

    • Nandu Kuppuswamy VP, Investor Relations
    • Nandu Kuppuswamy, CFA, is VP, Investor Relations, of MCR. In this role, he spearheads the company’s fundraising initiatives, and is responsible for the investor experience.

      Prior to joining MCR, Nandu served as the Managing Partner at Ambrosian Sun Advisors, advising alternative investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital. He has more than two decades of experience spanning investor relations, fundraising, asset allocation, due diligence, operations, analytics, research and strategy. He co-authored the book Marketing Alternative Investments – A Comprehensive Guide to Fundraising and Investor Relations for Private Equity and Hedge Funds, a reference text for a course at Harvard Business School.

      Nandu previously led investor relations at Sandstone Capital, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Zodius Capital. During his tenure at Sandstone, he also held the position of Head of Analytics. As an asset allocator for the University of Richmond’s endowment (Spider Management), he was responsible for manager selection, due diligence and relationships across asset classes globally. His career began at Capital One, where he held multiple roles in strategy, product and risk, including risk management for an $8 billion amortizing portfolio.

      Nandu received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is a CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Society Stamford.

    • Kyle McCaig VP, Technology Operations & Pricing
    • Kyle McCaig is VP, Technology Operations & Pricing, of MCR. In this role, Kyle is responsible for identifying, configuring and executing technology solutions across the corporate and property levels of MCR’s hospitality portfolio. Kyle works closely with all departments across MCR finding technology-based solutions to improve the company as a whole.

      Kyle’s career has included multiple technology positions ranging across the operations, product development, project management and software verticals.

      Kyle graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland.

    • Chris McDonnell VP, Centralized Accounting
    • Chris McDonnell is VP, Centralized Accounting, of MCR. In this role, he oversees the centralized accounting functions and property-level Directors of Finance for the full-service hotels in the MCR portfolio.

      Prior to joining MCR, Chris was VP of Property Accounting at Remington Hotels, where he was responsible for managing the accounting teams of 22 full-service properties. Previously, Chris served as the Director of Finance at the Marriott Hotel and Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas, and as Director of Enterprise Applications and Regional Controller for Highgate Hotels.

      Chris received a BS in Economics/Finance and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.

       

    • Rebecca Morse Director
    • Rebecca Morse is a Director of MCR. Rebecca’s focus is the creative, design and branding aspects of MCR’s independent hotels in New York City, including The High Line Hotel, the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport and the Gramercy Park Hotel.

      Previously, Rebecca was the Editor-in-Chief of the interior design and architecture publication The Home Observer. She also worked as an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City.

      Rebecca received a BA from Harvard College and a JD from Georgetown University.

      She sits on the Board of Directors of the High Line, New York City’s 1.45-mile-long elevated public park, and serves on the Board of Trustees of The Juilliard School. She is also a trustee of St. Luke’s School in New York’s West Village. Rebecca is a Director of the American Friends of Covent Garden, the Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet.

    • Gina Mote VP, Risk Management
    • Gina Mote is VP, Risk Management, of MCR. In her role, Gina administers MCR’s comprehensive insurance program and assists with the procurement of coverage and risk analysis for MCR’s hotel, development and investment operations.

      With more than 24 years experience as an insurance broker, Gina has served as the Regional Risk and Marketing Manager for Brown & Brown and as a Senior Workers Compensation Adjuster for Safeco Insurance. In the 15 years prior to joining MCR, her focus was on insurance program management for large hospitality, financial and construction practices.

      Gina also served in the US Army.

    • Christy Petty Philen VP, Corporate Treasurer
    • Christy Philen is VP, Corporate Treasurer, of MCR. She is responsible for banking and treasury operations, including payments, distributions and cash management.

      Prior to MCR, Christy held leadership positions at Aimbridge Hospitality, Omni Hotels and other private equity groups.

      As a board member of Financial Executives International in Dallas, Texas, she helped establish the Growth, Resources and Opportunities for Women special interest group. She is active in the Dallas Association for Financial Professionals, where she is a past president.  

      A Certified Treasury Professional, Christy is a graduate of Texas A&M University, College Station, with a degree in Finance. She holds an advanced certificate in Marketing from Southern Methodist University, Dallas.

    • Kirk Reed VP, Analytics and Reporting
    • Kirk Reed is VP, Analytics and Reporting, of MCR. In this role, he supports internal and external operations reporting, as well as maintains effective property standards and expense controls for MCR’s portfolio of full service and select service hotels.

      Before joining MCR in 2022, Kirk worked for 14 years in the corporate headquarters of Starwood and IHG, leading the corporate investment, feasibility and financial analysis functions. He also spent several years as a hospitality advisor for PricewaterhouseCoopers and independent clients.

      Kirk earned a BA in economics from the University at Buffalo, an MS in hospitality management from New York University and an MBA in finance from Columbia University.

    • Kristen Miller Reinsch Senior Corporate Counsel
    • Kristen A. Miller Reinsch is Senior Corporate Counsel of MCR. Kristen manages a broad range of legal matters relating primarily to MCR’s hotel management and operations business, including employment issues, commercial contracting, dispute resolution, litigation management and regulatory matters.

      Prior to joining MCR, Kristen was Senior Litigation Counsel for the privately held parent company of Omni Hotels & Resorts and Gold’s Gyms. In that role, Kristen managed a significant litigation docket across the operating companies and advised their executive business teams on legal and operational issues. Before going in-house, Kristen practiced complex commercial litigation for 12 years at several highly regarded litigation boutiques in Texas.

      Kristen received a JD from Washington University School of Law, an MA from University of Southern California and a BJ from University of Missouri.

    • John Reynolds VP, Labor Relations
    • John Reynolds is VP, Labor Relations, of MCR. In this role, John is responsible for leading the firm’s relationship with the various labor unions that represent MCR employees. 

      Prior to joining MCR, John was Chief People Officer at Motivate LLC, the leading bike share operator in the US, and Head of Human Resources at TopView Sightseeing, leading each firm’s relationship with the Transit Workers Union. Prior to this, John spent more than 20 years in leadership positions within financial services firms including CIT Bank, KBC Bank, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. 

      John holds a BA in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

    • Wendy Robison VP, Creative
    • Wendy Robison is VP, Creative, of MCR. In this role, Wendy oversees design and branding for MCR and its independent hotels across the country, including the 60-room The High Line Hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and the 512-room TWA Hotel at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

      Prior to joining MCR, Wendy was Design Director for Seventeen magazine, as well as a contributing Design Director for several women’s magazines at Hearst, the world’s largest publisher of monthly magazines. Previously, Wendy was a designer at Lucky magazine.

      Wendy received a BJ from the University of Missouri.

    • James Spinks VP, Centralized Accounting
    • James Spinks is VP, Centralized Accounting, of MCR. In this role, he oversees the centralized accounting function for MCR’s hotels.

      Prior to joining MCR in 2013, James was an Assistant Controller with Pillar Hotels & Resorts, where he led centralized accounting for 50 hotels. Previously, James served in various roles at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Rosewood Hotels and Bristol Hotels & Resorts.

      James received a BS in Hospitality Management from the University of North Texas.

    • Randall Timms VP, Centralized Accounting
    • Randall Timms is VP, Centralized Accounting, of MCR. In this role, Randall leads a team of managers who provide accounting support for MCR’s limited and full-service hotels.

      Randall has more than 17 years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry. Previously, he was an Assistant Controller in the central accounting department of Pillar Hotels & Resorts for four years and a Supervising Senior Accountant in the partnership group of Wyndham International for eight years.

      Randall received a BS in Accounting from LeTourneau University.

    • Ryan Tomaro VP, Execution
    • Ryan Tomaro is VP, Execution, of MCR. His responsibilities include oversight of financial performance, guest experience, brand compliance and strategic planning for 75 assets across the select-service portfolio. 

      Upon joining MCR in 2023, Ryan served as Regional Vice President of Execution. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as a Regional Director of Operations with Hotel Equities, where he supported 18 assets. Previously, Ryan held General Manager positions at full and select-service Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt hotels.

      Ryan serves as a Committee Chair on the Ohio Hotel and Lodging Association Council. He is a graduate of Facilities and Hospitality Management at the University of Cincinnati.

    • Krista VanTol VP, Pricing
    • Krista VanTol is VP, Pricing, of MCR.

      Prior to joining MCR, Krista spent seven years with White Lodging, where she worked in a Regional Revenue Management role with Hilton and Marriott brands, and served as a General Manager for both Marriott and IHG brands. She also spent 12 years with Marriott International in various positions, including Regional Sales Specialist for the Midwest Region and Canada, Operational Task Support and Trainer for the Midwest Region and Canada, and Quality Assurance Auditor for the Residence Inn brand in the US and Canada. Krista has also traveled extensively in international recruiting and training roles.

      Krista received her BS from Central Michigan University.

    • Alon Ginzburg Director, Strategic Finance & Analytics
    • Alon Ginzburg is Director, Strategic Finance & Analytics, of MCR. In this role, he is responsible for supporting MCR’s corporate financial planning as well as improving management reporting and analysis at the portfolio and property levels.

      Alon has more than 15 years of experience in budgeting and forecasting, management reporting and analysis, standardization and automation, and strategic projects.

      Previously, he held progressive finance positions at Dorilton Capital, Travelex and iHeartMedia, where he oversaw processes and continuous improvement within finance and accounting functions, using technology and data to drive efficiencies. Most recently, he worked on the implementation of Adaptive Planning (Workday’s Cloud EPM Software for Enterprise Planning).

      He received an MBA from Babson College and a BS in Finance from St. Louis University, where he studied abroad for two years at St. Louis’s Madrid campus.
