MCR Development LLC (“MCR”), one of the largest hotel owner-operators in the United States, today announced it has completed an extensive renovation at the 88-suite Residence Inn Spartanburg, located at 9011 Fairforest Road in Spartanburg, S.C. The renovation involved modern upgrades to the lobby area and guestrooms and enhancements to the hotel’s exterior, including fresh paint and new stairwells.

The modernized lobby area features warm and welcoming wall tones and has been outfitted with all new furniture, including a centralized granite-top communal table that seats up to 20 people and is fully equipped with outlets that guests can use to stay connected and powered up. MCR also removed the lobby’s fireplace to create a more spacious and open environment for guests to comfortably relax and socialize with friends or colleagues and added all new patio furniture to the pool area.

In addition, the hotel’s guestroom suites were outfitted with brand new bedding, couches, dining chairs and plush carpeting as well as a soothing and calming wall pattern accompanied with all new curtains and window treatments. Vinyl flooring was also installed in the kitchen of each suite.

The work is part of MCR’s strategy to enhance the overall guest staying experience and drive RevPAR growth through its ongoing renovation program.

Residence Inn Spartanburg is a charming, suburban, extended stay hotel conveniently located in proximity to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and is just minutes from some of the area’s core businesses and universities, including BMW Manufacturing’s North American headquarters, Milliken & Company and Wofford College.
